]]>Gallery Wall ‘Life~2022’ for you to create. Bring it alive in your version, on your walls, in your home. Walls that are a seamless transition between the indoors and out. Walls that are a landscape of our home planet.
]]>The sound, was of the chirping birds and the sight of a natural terrain... no planned structures, no unnatural elements, no dividing walls...
Unaware of how each cell of our body had leaped up with joy and positively welcomed that natural habitat, we came back to our home refreshed, recharged, filled with energy, filled with life.
Back at home looking around was a landscape missing... where was that tree whose branches grew in every way it could, where was that pond which had nurtured it’s own variety of habitat around, where were the hills with the grass growing freely.....
In nature’s home each one was freely its own and together... boundaries were their own limits... everything seemed in its own place yet free and wild.
Back at home, as cosy and comfortable as it was, the walls defined the life inside... while creating space for its people, it now seemed to define its people... while creating a home to nurture life it had limited life... the walls we had built to protect our life had left the life outside... the space seemed more for the things we owned rather than us...
Go where you feel most alive they say... An ode to the places we escape into, we brought them into our home and transformed our walls to reflect the landscape of this planet in this Gallery Wall Collection ‘Life~2022’.
Our favourite 5 that inspire us, call us ever so often, make us wonder in awe, help realise life is bigger than us and fill us up with the fuel to experience a good life, to live well, to love our home.
A walk into the woods is connecting to one’s soul... seeing life in a forest and the way nature is at work and nothing else matters helps make sense of this world, creates a sense of peace, instils a certain type of faith. Bringing it in with Forest Gallery Wall installation.
Enjoy 5 different styles of basketry in 'Forest Living'- a functional growing wall installation. Baskets, planters, a vase and mat completely made with bamboo and wood. Add plants, creepers and complement your souvenirs collected from the forest.
'The Woods' is an installation to add more plants and create a growing wall with combination of bamboo and wicker to reflect the woods. Handmade strong wicker baskets and planters that add depth and texture, bamboo basket, vase and mat add an element of lightness. Hang plants, creepers, keep dry flowers, pine cones, berries, feathers you collected.
The mountains are calling and I must go... Strong, solid and the pillars of support, mountains make us feel we can touch the sky. The best views are from a the top of one so whether you climb a mountain, admire the peaks or stand atop and feel the wind on your face, a peak inspires, makes us ambitious, gives us courage and hope.
A depiction of a mountain of your own here. In a combination of strong wicker baskets easy to rope up and display a collection of mountain rocks complemented by the round lightweight bamboo mat depicting the sun shining behind the peaks. Dry grass and mountain flowers look great in this installation.
A sense of freedom, intense passion, the power to heal in the quite of the sea. Like the waves of the ocean it sets our spirit free and everything becomes okay. We dream of faraway lands beyond the horizon, the varied life that walk, swim, crawl, fly on this earth, the changing landscape, how big this world really is and our infinite capacity to feel, grow, live and love.
A beautiful collection of a variety of different shapes and sizes of bamboo baskets accompanied by handcrafted wooden ship and the unique craft of flexible wooden fish. Complement with your collection of shells and corals brought back from your beach holidays.
Riding the waves together in these versions of the sea.
'Waves' is a collection of different shapes of wicker to depict the strength of the ocean along with bamboo ranging from intricate designs to simplicity to feel the gentleness of water. A bamboo envelope bag to hold memories of travel across the ocean, the little creatures of the ocean big and small, the courage of the ship to sail deep waters.
Days on a desert makes us appreciate life and the little things we may have missed. Fills us with gratitude for the gifts of nature.... a realisation of the life we take for granted and the strength to survive, to overcome the challenges of an empty life. An installation of the sand dunes to hold it close.
Handmade bamboo and grass baskets, a little bamboo planter to grow a little succulent and a wooden palm tree key chain hangar. A functional wall installation in the entry way to add a little plant and keep the keys. 'Desert Life' is an oasis to walk into as soon as you enter your home.
Sitting by the lake is a perfect life. A sense of being self-sufficient and living off the land, there’s little more we need. By the lake, we have everything. A beautiful lake to know the kindness of nature in this installation.
Display different craft styles in bamboo work and a unique wood craft style. The bamboo bag is functional to keep flowers, stationery and more, clip photos and dry flowers to the bamboo mat, put up pebbles on the bamboo plate. A completely natural collection of bamboo and wood handicraft in 'Life by the Lake'.
There are people and then there are wildflowers.
Wildflowers are different.
They are simple.
Raw.
Growing their roots, taking on the sunshine and challenges all at once.
DaisyLife is a loyalist to all you wildflowers out there.
Welcoming you to create this natural space in your home, in your city, on this planet, in this world.
That branch you found, the shells you picked up, the feathers that flew in, the leaves you saved, the pebble you held is your route to nature, to life.
Complementing them is our natural decor collection. Bring them together to create your masterpiece.
Gallery Wall ‘Life~2022’ is a collection for you to create. Bring it alive in your version, on your walls, in your home.
Doodle, scribble, paint, install, express. Let those walls mean more, let those walls be a seamless transition between the indoors and out. Create walls that are a landscape of this planet we call home.
A home inclusive of elements of nature, of life, of progress, of everything that keeps us alive. Homes that protect us from nature but not devoid of the power of nature.

Bring in some sun, lot of shine and nature in life, everyday.
We will silently support you.

------------------------
From protecting ourselves from nature to now protecting nature.
Our relationship with others, is a reflection of our relationship with ourself.
It's only when we know to care, value, acknowledge, appreciate and love ourself, do we have the understanding and capacity to do the same for family, friends, space, environment subject to priorities and the scope of the capacity.
The belief is that when people take care of themselves, they will invariably become capable of naturally getting considerate about the world.
If one is kind to self, you know how to be kind to everyone else and why it matters. The difference is in knowing how to be kind to self, how to take care of yourself, knowing what’s good or not for you. The difference is in knowing that the little things matter, in knowing what it is you really need, in knowing what a good life is.
It’s not about joining a movement, starting a crusade or saving the planet. It’s first about you... using a bamboo toothbrush might save 7 billion plastic brush waste, but if you don’t do it because you know it gives a better life experience every day or that putting plastic into your mouth first thing in the morning is subjecting yourself to unpleasant stuff, it’s not a sustainable change.
Save yourself to save the planet.
------------------------A new year wish for a world where homes are not boundaries for life and life is more inclusive of nature.

Have you ever looked at a twig or at a blade of grass in its entirety? You will see that an enormous amount of effort has been put into designing it, moulding it and giving it the geometry that it has. If you look around, you will see that nature is mapped with beauty in geometry. Just by the mere presence or intimacy of such beautiful yet simple designs, it changes the way our five senses react and function.
It always feels good to surround ourselves with these wonders of nature. Right from our every days to special moments and experiences like giving a gift.
A gift is a delight if the receiver feels the genuine warmth and sentiments. Natural materials carry that innate warmth and a special vibe. Wrapping gifts for your loved ones with these, makes giving and receiving a gift a beautifully special experience.
That's the experience we want to create with DaisyLife Gift Baskets, Bamboo Boxes and Bamboo Envelopes. They have a certain sense of geometry, are absolutely natural, can be beautifully re-used and make gorgeous gift packaging accessories.
At a recent wedding of a colleague, when we decided to gift cash to the couple it felt mundane and lacking warmth. In a paper envelope it felt devoid of emotions and blessings we wanted to convey till we put the money in a bamboo envelope with the pink cover (wedding theme colour).
We added a little note with our wishes and a twig of fresh rosemary to bless the couple along with the money and it felt so good to handover this special package. It added meaning to giving cash and felt right.
Gift wrapping is a special thing to do. For most of us, giving gifts is very pleasing, as giving a gift decorated with love brings much more joy to friends and family as receivers. It's a beautiful way to express sincere feelings, care and attention.
Natural Material gift packaging brings just that with a beautiful rustic appearance, a bit of vintage flair, gorgeous primitive aesthetics and a minimalist look. Fans of minimalism know that #LessIsMore.
Here are some quick ideas to get started with:
1. Bamboo Envelopes: You can choose to gift souvenir coins, cash, letters, cards or a mix of these inside the bamboo envelopes. Unlike the paper ones; these are fuller, can accommodate more and are strong and sturdy with their weaves. Not to forget how pretty they look!
______________
Most gifts are lined with plastic, which means they cannot be recycled and have to be sent to landfill.
Doesn’t it make your eye twitch to see the plastic ribbons and loads of wrapping paper going into the trash next day of a wedding or other occasions?
Wrap a gift with beautiful sustainable packaging that can be recycled, repurposed, is made with natural and compost-able materials.
It is not only securing the gift but also sharing a part of your beliefs, it is about passing on a sense of doing good and living well.
Go ahead... Gift your special person with all the love and warmth, with natural material because gifts mean more!

We are part of nature, embedded in a beautiful and wondrous living world. We keep up hope that a change toward an eco-friendly perspective, and lifestyle, is a vital way toward the prospering of life on Earth, working our way slowly towards a sustainable future.
Research shows that people with a greater connection to nature are more likely to behave positively towards the environment, wildlife and habitats. Developing an enduring relationship between people and nature, connecting people, may be critical for future nature conservation.
This World environment day the theme is "Ecosystem Restoration" so we've put together a list of 5 things you can do to help preserve and restore the environment to a much better state.
We often tend to notice a lot of trees and small bushes in our surroundings. If you see some smaller saplings or plants that are uncared for this summer or due to the COVID restrictions, water them once a day.
We love exotic plants they have a certain aura that is pleasing to the eye and mind. However, each plant requires a certain environment and belong to a particular region which provides a suitable condition for them to thrive. Growing local plants are in fact most ideal for us as they have lower tendencies of withering away, support the local birds and bees and help build an effective ecosystem.
Even small acts like segregating the dry and wet waste and disposing of them carefully is key to restoration, While dumping is the most used method of treating waste segregation helps us put as waste that can be further treated as materials that can be recycled and reused.
Avoiding discarding of waste in local surroundings carelessly don't contribute to the dump and pollute the land instead always discard waste in the local trash cans. Make an at-home compost, try treating the waste for plants as fertilizers with a compost read more in our blog.
Making conscious choices are key to sustainable living. What we choose to use makes a huge impact on the environment. The irresponsible and careless choices of plastic materials not only pollute the land but also harm various forms of life endangering the ecosystem. Choose consciously next time you consume. If there is a sustainable option why not? Try switching to natural material products, they are planet friendly, easy to use and do not pose a threat to the ecosystem.
Just as we've taken away from nature it's time to give back, small activities like planting trees, volunteering for save the environment drives in the city. Responding in a way that contributes to nature by being kind to nature. Giving back is also part of conserving it is how we can strive to achieve balance rather than drive towards scarcity.
______________
"We're part of the solution". From nature-based solutions to climate, health issues, food and water security, and sustainable livelihoods, biodiversity is the foundation upon which we can build back better is the main message from the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), key international instrument for sustainable development.
Biodiversity is a term used to portray the gigantic assortment of life on Earth. It very well may be utilized all the more explicitly to refer to the entirety of the species around there or biological system. Biodiversity refers to to each living thing, including plants, microscopic organisms, creatures, and people. Researchers have assessed that there are around 8.7 million types of plants and creatures in presence. Notwithstanding, just around 1.2 million species have been distinguished and portrayed up until this point, the majority of which are bugs. This implies that huge number of different creatures stay a total secret. (Source: National Geographic)
The root issues of biodiversity can be traced back to the impact of individuals on the world's biological system, truth be told people have profoundly adjusted the climate, and have an altered the area, misusing the species straightforwardly, for instance by fishing and chasing, changing the biogeochemical cycles and moving species starting with one region then onto the next of the Planet.
Our actions have an adverse effect on the planet. Some of the effects seem on a wide scale are habitat loss and degradation, climate change, excessive nutrient load and other forms of pollution, over-exploitation, unsustainable use, disappearance of endangered species, invasive alien species etc.
We're often so wrapped with our own lives we seem to be living as beings that are complete strangers to the large ecosystem we're actually a part of on the planet. Even though we heavily rely on electronics and other manmade gadgets in our daily lives, a huge part of our living relies on the gifts and resources we've borrowed from nature. From the clothes we wear to the food and cutlery on our table.
In continuation to last year's theme "Our solutions are in nature" meant biodiversity is key to sustainable living and better life on the planet. One that creates a future free from the smog and slush filled with pollutants.
Our lives now comprise of various problems with climate, food, health, water - security and the flora and fauna that also suffer around us. Together with biodiversity as our solution we can build a better livelihood not only for ourselves but also the ecosystems we seem to have forgotten about.
"We are a part of nature not apart from nature"
We're all a dot that connects to a grand design, a part of one large masterpiece. Being self-aware and making appropriate decisions that do not pollute or harm our surroundings while also creating awareness with a tap on our phones can take us to a better place that where we are now.
Switching to natural sustainable material products, keeps the ecology safe. Fast solutions like plastic cause harm and improper disposal causes damage to life on land, air and water. Implementing the 3R's i.e. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle helps consume mindfully.
There's a lot an individual can do indoors to help protect the ecosystems around us. It's about getting a bit mindful, accepting little changes, a little bit of care for the space we occupy.
Our relationship with nature is broken. If we look back at how our grand parents interacted with nature, there was a lot of love and care. Busy city life has created a disconnect and makes it difficult to understand or care similarly for Nature. Progress need not come at this cost. We can grow together consciously.
Be kind to Nature. Treat her with kindness just as you would to a family member. There is power is building back our relationship. when nature is harmed so are we. Our choices drove the air to be polluted this in turn has an impact as we breathe the same air we've polluted. Being thoughtful and respectful to everything that lives on the planet drives us to be stewards of the earth paving way for sustainable living.

Hi all,
Hope you and your family are keeping safe.
It’s difficult to keep going on and staying afloat with the covid situation. Losing friends, family, watching the state of the country, hearing stories of despair... a heaviness looms…
Every time the phone rings the first reaction is panic... in fact one Instagram post delayed one evening, lead to panic and the thought was if my teammate is ok…
2020 now seems like a prep for what was coming in 2021…We have now not just read in school books but actually seen a pandemic… a brutal awakening to appreciate what we have and live in gratitude and live every moment.
Every morning I wake up and thank the universe for the day, in every call the first check is how is everyone feeling.
It’s difficult to accept the loss, to stay calm, to stay sane not knowing what’s coming your way next moment or how long it’s going to continue.
We are staying safe and adapting to the situation every day and for now all I want to say is, we’ll KEEP SHOWING UP.
Stay safe, stay fit,
Team DaisyLife

A playlist you like will have you motivated and hyped to get your tasks going and before you even know it you're halfway through! Listening to our favourite songs always makes us feel great. One of our favourites these days is Summer Days. Do you have a go-to Monday song?
At office, we have our adorable and absolutely dope four-legged friends... Yes! they're cats! Our buddies Puchki aka Katniss Everdeen and Gunda are a key part of the team. Their visits fill the office with smiles.
Did you know? Studies prove that pets have calming effects, reduce blood pressure, lower stress, and make employees more cordial and productive.. (Reference : 2012 VCU research paper )
Putting together a to-do list for Mondays can help start the day focussed on the tasks at hand. The feeling of striking down each task is not only fun but also triggers the brain with a sense of accomplishment which makes Monday's feel super easy!
We've gotten the "Monday Blues" out of our dictionary. We now in fact look forward to each Monday full of energy waiting for us to claim the day!
What are some of the little things that make your Monday beautiful?
What are your Mondays like? Do you #SlayMonday? Share them in the comments below.

]]>It's EARTH DAY, 22nd April 2021.
This year we consciously decided to celebrate Earth Day. To register the efforts, to be more mindful as we move forward, to question and be aware of the wider impact we are creating.
We believe that nature should be a part of our everyday routines, EFFORTLESSLY.
IT IS ABOUT CO-EXISTENCE of the cities, the progress, the modern pace, the trees, the seas and of mankind, altogether!
So what is Earth Day? What's the story behind Earth Day? What's so special about it?
Earth day is an event that's celebrated every year all around the globe to show support for environmental protection.

HOW DID IT BEGIN?
It all started decades before the celebration of first earth day, when there were huge amounts of energy and leaded gas consumption in America which lead to high levels of air pollution.
However, during this time the reflection of Air pollution upon the city was considered to be a sign of prosperity and for those days America continued to live without a shred of concern on how the polluted surrounding played an impact on their health.

Change slowly began to sow its seeds when Rachel Carson published her book 'Silent Spring' in 1962. The book followed to be New York Times bestseller and continued to sell over 500,000 copies in 24 different countries. It filled its readers and those around with public awareness towards the surrounding environment and the toxic relationship between pollution and humans.
Later in 1969, the world witnessed the ravages of a huge oil spill that occurred in Santa Barbara, California followed by anti-student war protests on awareness about Air and Water pollution.
A young student activist named Denis Hayes was then recruited to organize the teach-ins and the date 22nd April was chosen for the same to ensure the participation of students as it was in the middle of spring break and final exams.

The young Activist then set up a staff of 85 people, his efforts soon witnessed a break-through when people of different faiths and organizations began to support the change. The name was then changed to Earth Day.

The world then experienced different protests on oil spills, environmental conservation, air pollution awareness, etc.
In 1970, 22nd April was then recognized by the Country and various laws and Acts were passed concerning Earth Day. Later in 1990 Earth Day went global and soon lead to the United Nations Earth Summit in 1992.
Mother nature once thrived with beautiful landscapes all around anywhere man would set his feet.
This year's Earth Day message is all about bringing back nature's beautiful scent of the flowers, the sound of the gentle brook, patching up our forests, and clearing up the sky from the dull grey of pollution. We definitely can't do it all in one day. We can start small today, continue and sow the seeds for a better life on this planet.
Today we're talking about how one can take the first step in restoring earth and help save the planet by changing small decisions and habits in our daily life so that every one can engage in celebrating earth day this year wherever one may be.
Natural material products are great for not only our everyday life but for our surroundings as well. They're earth-friendly and provide balance to the environment.
Natural material products are bio-degradable. Yep! you don't need to get rid of them in the trash and they're not waste. Bamboo-based products get decomposed easily. They take a few months to a year or two to be broken down into the soil. Even products made of different types of wood, shells, leaves, etc. can be decomposed.
Products made from Wicker, fallen Wood, Cork Bark, Coconut Shells and other natural materials can be your best friends in helping to consume lesser of non-renewable resources of energy. Given the current situation, we're all either working or studying from our homes and the energy levels being used aren't coming any lower.
Manufacturing and production of Natural Material Products hardly use non-renewable sources of energy. Items such as wicker & bamboo baskets, bamboo kitchenware, bamboo personal care products etc are largely handcrafted and the most amount of energy used in processing these Natural Material Products are far lower than the levels of processing steel or plastic.
The cuttings of the source are either re-planted or used as fuel. Especially Bamboo, it is the fastest growing tree and can be replanted using its branches even with a bit of water.
These products are at peace... they are not at war with nature. They help maintain nature's balance. Most Natural Material Products are strong and sturdy. They're reusable, renewable, and recyclable which keeps them from harming mother nature, making them earth-friendly. The porous structure of plant-based products keeps hygroscopic balance with the environment.
Using Natural material products can help us restore the planet in many simple ways. Just a small change in our shopping lists can bring us a long way towards a healthy and happy earth. Its easy peasy, the products fit into the modern times, and it all comes from and belongs to nature... just like us!
At DaisyLife, we are all about "All things natural". Our foundation is based on simple Natural Material Products and how these add value to life today and now it's the value they add beyond you and me.
Our products are nature-based and largely handmade and minimally processed, which means lower levels of energy consumption.
Every day is Earth Day for us... something that we inherently feel... each day we are wholeheartedly exploring how to express the benefits of these materials, making space for these products to be functional in modern lives, easy to adopt in daily routines and thus increase interaction with nature invariably...
Because one cares more about what serves and exists in its immediate sphere... Do you think this will make people care more about nature? #RestoreOurEarth

]]>What could possibly be a better omen than our own generations living sustainably! 'Lucky Bamboo' indeed!
]]>Earlier when someone mentioned Bamboo, my visual imagination extended only till the small Feng-Shui : 'The Lucky Bamboo' plant, that we usually present to someone as a token of good omen.
Isn't that something we always came across in a cute gift shop? Perhaps that version of bamboo is more familiar to us city dwellers, than a tall, green, dense patch of bamboo trees.
Back in school, I knew from my 5th grade general knowledge book, that bamboo is the tallest and fastest growing GRASS!
However, I had learnt it thoroughly till those class V summer exams and completely forgot about it later!
Thanks to many emerging initiatives made by some wise people, of inculcating bamboo into our daily lives right from sanitary napkins to furniture, I happened to reintroduce myself to this miraculous element of nature through recent digital articles featuring innovative uses and properties of bamboo.
It was honestly quite intriguing, that a mere grass species is capable of everything from construction, to scaffolding, to providing rash free sanitary pads, to soft clothing, to kitchenware, musical instruments, and the coolest one I came across was - to make BEER! *drooool*
Since I was once into the science stream in my junior college, I was interested in reading up keenly on knowing bamboo’s scientific facts too. Well the 1st stunning one was from the 5th grade GK book (remember?)
Coming to relatively more complex ones, here are five facts-
It can be considered as one of the most sustainable and renewable resources! Bamboo doesn’t need regular irrigation, and not much pesticides, as it is antibacterial by itself!
Honestly, a small excerpt is not enough to put across the properties bamboo actually has. All of these super powers are the reasons why it can easily be reborn in the form of lifestyle products like clothes, everyday kitchenware, sturdy and strong furniture etc.
At DaisyLife, we are all big time ‘Bamboo enthusiasts’!
We are extremely fond of our BAMBOO BASKETS; so much so that we eat our cupcake in a cute little bamboo basket (its cute, really)! This is our most primitive and a close to heart product range that has literally traveled time of decades together. These are 100% handwoven from bamboo and look simply gorgeous.
They can be best put to use to declutter, enhance workplace and home decor, organize a space, can make for a lovely packaging for gifting, for storing or just to feel the calmness of bamboo around.
They are antibacterial, are quite strong, extremely lightweight, feel good to touch and easy to maintain. Quintessentially bamboo, isn’t’ it!?
These baskets are made from the Indian species of bamboo. Here in India, the climatic conditions of Northeastern and Eastern parts help produce the best bamboo or ‘BAASH’ - as they locally denote it, in swathes of cultivation.
Our forests celebrate diversity too. In totality, there are 125 indigenous as well as exotic species of bamboo in India!
To say the least, bamboo can be considered as THE FUTURE of resources! It is really a go to raw material considering the aspect of sustainability.
I personally haven’t come across so many beneficial properties from a single element of nature that has so much potential to build human existence. Can we already rename bamboo to ‘Captain Planet’ maybe!?
We can gift the whole essence of Feng-Shui bamboo to ourselves, by innovations around bamboo, by an approach to include it in our routines and everyday modern lifestyle.
What could possibly be a better omen than our own generations living sustainably! 'Lucky Bamboo' indeed!
