A Journey into Nature; DaisyLife at KingsLanding
We kickstarted our journey bright and early around 7 in the morning. Deepa and I are early birds, we like to start early, so we have the whole day to ourselves. Usually, we do our product shoots in-house, but adding different location settings gives us a new perspective and ideas on how well they can be fitted into every house. So, we picked a spot near Karjat called KingsLanding. Trust me, it's as magical as it sounds and holds countless surprises waiting to be explored.
Fresh out of college, I joined DaisyLife as an intern. It was my first job, and yes, I learned a ton! Not just about business, but about life and nature in general. But hey, that's a story for another time. Deepa and I share a unique bond. We're not just colleagues; we dive into fascinating conversations about life purposes and the fitness routines we're currently into. You won't believe it, Deepa is even learning boxing this time! She's an inspiration, no doubt.
But this time, I had another question in my mind. I asked her about DaisyLife's purpose and what it aims to achieve. Her response was simple yet profound:
"I envision DaisyLife becoming a part of every household, where nature seamlessly integrates with our lives. We want to eliminate the urge to escape."
Silence followed, allowing both of us to ponder how we'll make this vision a reality.
After roughly 3 hours, we finally reached KingsLanding. Let me introduce you to the charismatic owner of KingsLanding, Gaurav Kumar, a retired Air Force Officer. Gaurav Kumar is a free spirit. His inner child is alive, and being around him makes you feel truly alive. Just imagine being his guest! He recently returned from an epic tour of South America, where he lived in tents, trekked for days on end, and marveled at breathtaking mountains. And guess what? He's already planning his next adventure!
Officer Kumar's family accompanied us during our stay. After a delightful dinner, we planned to meet for a yoga session the next morning. Kumar uncle runs a school in Bihar, where he serves as the principal and teaches yoga to children. Inspired to learn a few postures myself, I dozed off with excitement.
Our morning delight arrived in the form of a fancy breakfast. I couldn't contain my excitement as I discovered my favourite omelet with a twist—it had palak (spinach) in it! Delicious! The basket was filled with an assortment of goodies, including fresh fruits and bread. It was a truly delightful breakfast table.
As I gazed at the passing clouds above us, I couldn't help but notice they formed various shapes. My mind wandered as I tried to decipher them—I spotted an elephant and even a dragon! Just as my imagination soared, we were served a delectable evening snack: the famous Vadapav wicker plate basket
Normally, I would resist indulging, but this homemade treat with fresh buns looked too good to resist. Vadapav served in a DaisyLife basket gave us the best of both worlds—an English breakfast vibe with a desi twist. Haha! Check out the pictures. And guess what? These baskets are washable too! Simply brush them with washing liquid, rinse with water, and voila! They'll last for generations.
Located near Karjat, KingsLanding is a picturesque paradise that shines during the monsoon season. You'll be treated to the sight of a river stream at the resort's edge, surrounded by lush green mountains and fascinating wildlife. Animal lovers shouldn't miss the nearby animal shelter—it's a must-visit!
The resort boasts open spaces, free from confining walls. The decor is minimalistic yet perfectly balanced. Oh, and did I mention the cottages? They exude village vibes while providing all the amenities of city life.
Situated near the mountains, you can even embark on exciting treks or enjoy a refreshing dip in the fountains. It's a nature lover's dream getaway and an absolute must-visit destination!
