We like to keep it cool naturally and gorge on some soothing food and have cool materials by the side to beat the heat, keep the bills in control and be easy on the planet.
Summer and salads are inseparable. A refreshing salad that is combined with the flavors of summer all over it is the way to stay chill, unwind and enjoy the bright sunny days followed by the wonderful sunsets and breezy trees.
A tasty summer salad is cool, has a good crunch and is well seasoned. Summer salads are enjoyed in a huge variety, each a combination of different ingredients and flavors that are mouth-watering and refreshingly delightful. The burst of flavors fills one with a brand new summer experience. Summer is the best time to enjoy a nice and cool salad.
We paired the two best summer fruits - Watermelons and Cucumber- super cool and juicy, we bet you haven't seen them often paired together before!
The ingredients of the season in our DaisyLife recipe comes with a twist that'll enhance the flavors you didn't probably expect to put together for a salad. Without much ado, lets get going with the recipe!
WATERMELON, CUCUMBER AND FETA in SUMMER MELON BOLT
The perfect salad for a cooling summertime meal!

No. Of Servings: 4
- 2 Baby Cucumbers (chopped in cubes)
- 4 1/2 cups cubed deseeded watermelon (half-inch per cube)
- 1/4 cup mint leaves
- 100 gm cup feta cheese (crumbled)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
- 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Salt as per taste (optional)
Step 1: Peel and chop the Cucumbers and Watermelon into cubes. make sure to cut the Watermelon into 1/2 an inch per cubes or bite-sized. Remove the seeds.
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl add the Cucumber pieces, Watermelon chunks and chopped/ whole mint leaves and hand-crumbled feta cheese.
Step 3: In a separate bowl mix apple cider vinegar, lemon juice and salt.
Step 4: Drizzle the seasoning over the salad, sprinkle sunflower seeds and lightly fold in to mix.
Step 5: Serve in bamboo basket bowls lined with sandwich paper/ butter paper. Garnish with mint leaves and dig in! Enjoy this tasteful and crisp-juicy salad with all its summer notes blasting in every bite!
- While chopping the Watermelon, the size need not be exact.
- Crumbling the feta can be done by hand to avoid big unpleasant chunks.
- Sunflower seeds are optional however we recommend adding them in for a good crunch and loads of vitamins and minerals!
- Serve and plate the salad in Bamboo Serveware with butter paper to avoid cleaning hassles, keep the salad cool and to enhance its overall natural appeal.
