It's almost as if nature calls to you with open arms when you need it the most. City life may be rewarding, but nothing compares to a day in the lap of nature. Surrounded by abundance and the vitality of life.
This weekend we were fortunate enough to be able to make time to leave the city behind & take a break in the indulgence of nature's bounty.
Dear reader, the peace that overwhelms your senses when you simply allow nature the space to be part of your daily routine. Imagine this, you are sitting on the porch, soaking in the breeze, looking at the horizon, and you see in front of you a gorgeous lake, lush greenery, and mammoth plateaus freckled with distant windmills.
Serenity seeps in through the very air you breathe. This moment will stay with you when the very sound of the breeze becomes one with the beat of your heart.
You seem to be spellbound not wanting to break the illusion. This is the feeling. The feeling that makes you realise just how tired you are in the city, the respite from that fatigue waiting for you in the warm embrace of nature.
Kamshet is a small village in Maharashtra, just about 2 hours away from Pune. It is known to be a center to learn and practice para-gliding. It’s unlike most of the touristy places you may find in the same region like Pawana. Untouched by urbanization this quaint little village holds a lovely space called Camp Greenhorn for the most exquisite experience you can have. An experience with nature. It almost feels like a dream and whenever you take a step back to take in the grandeur of these feelings and the sights, you’re left speechless.
Why is it then that we don’t get to experience the same when we are in our own homes? Why is it that we crave to be among nature but deny ourselves the opportunity to do it?
Maybe the answer lies in the very fact that we do not make space for nature in our daily lives, we do not stop to feel the breeze that comes in through our windows during the morning hours. When was the last time you took in the silence that envelops the hours of dawn?
Nature is the same in the little things like the morning breeze and the same in the gigantic plateaus & serene lake of Kamshet.
This little trip gave me the gift of reconnecting with myself and the nature around me, making me appreciate the glimpses of nature in my daily life.
